Vintage Barbie Cases
Filed under Accessories
Vintage Barbie dolls are known to be collectibles that are very hard to find, and very expensive. So are their cases.
Since these cases are meant to store such valuable collectibles, they are made in such a way that they can secure the contents effectively and not easily get damaged. There are several different types of cases that were made for each doll. Some of the cases are as follows;
Barbie Travel Pal Case
It was one of the best Barbie doll cases you could find back then in 1962, and it is indeed very hard to come by. It was particularly good for displaying your Barbie doll, as well as when you were traveling. (article continued below)...

It has wonderful graphics on it. The graphics on the case show several different Barbie images. Starting from the left, it has an image of a brunette Barbie doll dressed in winter holiday attire. Then there is the Bubble Cut Barbie that is dressed in a Friday Night Date kind of dress.
The third Barbie doll on the case is a titian Bubble Cut that is dressed in a yellow dress which happens to be a version of Enchanted Evening.
Then lastly there is an image depicting a blonde Ponytail Barbie doll in the original white and black zebra swimsuit. This case is black in color and is made of bone colored vinyl on the interior. The interior also has a mirror in it. It has a black colored plastic handle on top and a zipper as well.
Single Solo In The Spotlight Case
It is a Canadian case made of rare black vinyl. It has images of a titian Bubble Cut Barbie dressed in a pale blue type of Solo in the Spotlight at the center, with a titian Barbie wearing Winter Holiday on the left.
There is a blonde Bubble Cut Barbie wearing a helence swimsuit on the right. This case was made way back in 1963, and has beautiful images on its front side. This case has an interior that is made of red vinyl. It has a metal hanger at the top for clothes and enough room for a single doll.
The World of Barbie Doll Case
It is marked with the registered trademark of Mattel BARBIE. This case has great graphics that are clean and bright on its front side. Its clasp is made of silver-tone metal, which makes this case look classic along with its plastic handle on top. It also has an accessories drawer that comes packed with vintage clothing and accessories from this period, though they are non-Mattel.
Barbie's Friend Ship Case
It is a large domed white with red, blue and black detailed vinyl case that shapes out into a plane. This case has Barbie's Friend Ship written on it.
